Stephen Campbell is president of Phoenix
Design, which provides sustainable project
management services for architecture
firms, government agencies, non-profit
organizations, private clients and community
groups. He has received three Design Trust fellowships, for High
Performance Building Guidelines, Implementing
the High Performance Building Guidelines,
and Greening Infrastructure in the Public
Right-of-Way.
Previously, Mr. Campbell
worked for the
New York City Department of General Services (DGS), which later became
the Department of Design and Construction
(DDC). Starting as a Project Manager, he rapidly rose through the agency, to
become a Deputy Assistant Commissioner, overseeing design and construction work
on a portfolio of nearly 300 health, homeless housing, day care, community center
and firehouse projects. Mr. Campbell holds
a Bachelor of Architecture from Carnegie-Mellon
and a Master of Urban Design
from Harvard's GSD.
