Personal Statement

My fellowship with the Design Trust
was a great opportunity to apply my
professional expertise directly to
broad and current issues within New
York City. It is rare, in professional
practice, to get the chance to take
such a wide-ranging perspective and
approach. Throughout
the course of my fellowship, one of
the best experiences was researching
the issues and then meeting
with experts within the environmental
community and city government. Finally,
it was very interesting to work closely
with the Design Trust staff to produce
a document with innovative arguments,
substantive research, and graphic impact.
