Rob Lane is the Senior Fellow for Urban Design at the Regional Plan Association (RPA) in New York. An architect and urban designer whose work aims to improve the metropolitan landscape through research and place-based interventions, Mr. Lane pioneers innovative strategies for community-based planning and design.

Before joining RPA, Mr. Lane was an associate at Kohn Pedersen Fox Architects. He holds a Bachelor of Arts from Cornell University and a Master of Architecture from Columbia University. In 2008-09, Mr. Lane was a Loeb Fellow at the Harvard Graduate School of Design. He combines practice with research and teaching, most recently at the Woodrow Wilson School of Public Policy at Princeton and the GSAPP at Columbia.
