This poster, winner of the American Society of Landscape Architects' Merit Award for Communications in 2002, was created by Design Trust fellows Sandro Marpillero and Linda Pollak. Their related project, Thresholds of Eib's Pond Park, focused on building support for the park, which is located in an under-served urban community on Staten Island.

Photographs and diagrams express the complex beauty of Eib's Pond and explain the significance of a freshwater wetland. The poster also describes reclamation work that has been done at the park and gives a sense of what remains to be accomplished. The goal was to build community involvement and help potential funders understand what they could be supporting.
